COFICAB, a leading company in the automotive cable manufacturing sector, has been facing some difficulties in organizing the transportation of its employees, which has led to some inefficiencies and a high environmental impact due to high CO2 emissions. To address this issue, the Human Resources department requested the development of the COFRIDE Platform, designed to facilitate carpooling among employees, promoting better vehicle usage and reducing carbon emissions. The project was carried out in collaboration with the Design and Marketing teams, responsible for creating the logo and icon of the Platform. Developed using JavaScript on both the frontend and backend, and utilizing MongoDB as the database, the platform offers an intuitive and secure experience, allowing employees to organize and join carpools efficiently. Although the main objective of COFRIDE is to facilitate employee mobility, as a direct consequence, it promotes more sustainable practices, helping COFICAB reduce its ecological footprint. With features like automatic notifications and optimized carpool management, the platform represents an important step in digitizing solutions that benefit both the company and the environment.
