Financial Literacy plays a crucial role in the development of rural communities. Financial literacy linked with financial attitude, behaviour, knowledge, and financial skills. Keeping in view of this, the college students have been undertaking different financial literacy awareness programmes under the community extension programmes. This study focuses on assessment of financial literacy programmes impact on rural community. The scope of the study is restricted to Dakshana Kannada District of Karnataka State and the sample respondents are household men/women of Someshwara village in which St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore and School of Social Work, Roshini Nilaya, Mangalore have conducted financial literacy awareness programmes. The size of sample is 204 household persons. The data is collected through the structured closed ended questionnaire using simple random sampling technique. Regression tests been used to analyse the data. As per the results, students’ financial literacy awareness programmes (α) have significant impact on rural community savings and budget allocation (β). Further, the demographic analysis, discussion and limitations have mentioned in the below article. The findings support that the rural communities are benefiting from the student—led financial literacy programmes and need more awareness on investment and insurance products.
