The transition to renewable energy systems is crucial for India as it mitigates the problem of climate change and secures energy supply. Technological advancement and skilling human resources are essential for the successful transition towards RE. To overcome the challenges in the transition, developing the energy storage systems, creating public awareness and active private sector participation is needed. To achieve the environmental targets specifically renewable energy target, a systematic analysis of the challenges is key to identify viable solutions for taking the country forward to a sustainable future.
