Previous studies reveal many Bangladeshis have mental health issues. This group has a significant number of OCD sufferers. About 6% of people shop compulsively. An intriguing study found 26.1% of mall customers were compulsive. In this study of 203 subjects, 11 had severe obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) and 121 had mild OCD. Four factors connected to compulsive buying were examined. Over four variables, a sixteen-question questionnaire measured OCD and compulsive shopping behavior using component analysis with varimax rotation. The Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin metric was used to determine sample suitability and estimate variable correlations. We only evaluated eigenvalues bigger than 1. A one-sample T-test was also done to determine the statistical significance of the difference between the overall average and the OCD-affected sample groups. The presence of substantial and moderate correlation coefficients and statistically significant t-values suggests that OCD impacts all four compulsive buying components. Regression study showed that OCD strongly affects customers’ Shopaholism among all compulsive buying criteria.

摘要
