This study explores the role of Zie Batik in revitalizing local heritage and advancing community-based tourism in Malon Gunungpati, a rural tourism village rich in cultural traditions. Utilizing a qualitative research approach, this study examines the dynamics between local artisans, community stakeholders, and tourism development initiatives. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis to understand how Zie Batik, as a creative product, contributes to the socio-economic development of the village while preserving its cultural identity. The findings reveal that Zie Batik serves as a central element in fostering local pride, creating employment opportunities, and attracting cultural tourists. The integration of traditional batik-making processes with experiential tourism activities, such as workshops and storytelling sessions, has enhanced visitor engagement and appreciation of Malon Gunungpati’s heritage. Furthermore, the active participation of community members in the production and marketing of Zie Batik has strengthened social cohesion and empowered marginalized groups, particularly women. This study highlights the importance of strategic collaborations between local governments, tourism stakeholders, and artisans in ensuring the sustainability of community-based tourism. The implications emphasize the need for capacity-building programs, digital marketing strategies, and cultural preservation efforts to enhance Zie Batik's role in promoting Malon Gunungpati as a unique and sustainable tourism destination. This research contributes to the discourse on the intersection of cultural heritage, creative economies, and sustainable rural tourism development.
