Software engineering projects have existed long before the advent of Cloud computing. However, using Cloud as a platform to develop and deliver application products has been a game changer for the software industry. Cloud-based SW product development involves product managers, developers, and users across the globe giving rise to new complexities and opportunities. A Cloud-based product plan begins with a business case approval and ends with a win-win situation for all stakeholders. Combining IoT and Cloud opens up new opportunities to improve business efficiencies. In this chapter, we describe the roles and responsibilities of players involved to deliver successful Cloud-based projects within the allocated time and financial constraints.
