Hybrid Cloud-Based Applications and Security
摘要
This chapter presents hybrid applications, which refer to the combination of on-device software with a private or public Cloud. These applications enable data and applications to be shared between a device and the Cloud. The benefits in using hybrid mode of operations include better control of data that cannot be shared outside of an enterprise boundary due to PHI (Private Health Information) or PII (Personally Identifiable Information) concerns. Additionally, it offers an ability for the users to work in an offline mode. We will introduce several examples of real-life hybrid applications.
