Optimal Location for COVID-19 Field Hospitals in Prachinburi, Thailand
摘要
This research aims to study the optimal location selection for field hospitals serving COVID-19 patients in Prachinburi, Thailand, using the Capacitated Maximal Covering Location Problem (CMCLP) model. As the COVID-19 outbreak intensified, the demand for healthcare services surged, leading to a shortage of hospital beds. This study focuses on finding suitable locations for temporary field hospitals to maximize patient access within a defined service radius. The study examines different bed capacities—500, 700, and 1,000 beds in field hospitals—to ensure efficient resource allocation and healthcare service provision. The findings suggest that strategic planning of field hospital locations can significantly enhance the healthcare system's ability to respond during public health emergencies. By assessing population density and patient distribution, this research provides insights for improving the resilience of healthcare infrastructure and effectively addressing future outbreaks.
