The Effect of Personalization on Continuance Intention of Ride-Hailing Service Users
摘要
Ride-hailing, a platform that connects users with drivers, is one of the latest innovations in the transport industry. In Indonesia, Gojek is a pioneer in ride-hailing services. Currently, Gojek has developed a personalization feature in its application to improve the convenience of its users. However, it is necessary to know more about the effect of personalization on the continued use of this ride-hailing application. Therefore, the objective of this study is to ascertain the impact of personalization on continuance intention in the Gojek application. This research is presented in 13 hypotheses which are analyzed using PLS-SEM through the SmartPLS application. This study uses data obtained through a questionnaire with Google Form with 258 respondents who have used Gojek. Based on the outcomes of data processing, it was found that of the total 13 hypotheses made, 10 hypotheses were accepted, and 3 hypotheses were rejected. It is concluded that personalization has a significant effect on perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, perceived privacy risk, perceived performance risk, and continuance intention. In addition, perceived enjoyment, perceived privacy risk, and perceived performance risk have a significant effect on perceived value of information disclosure, and perceived value of information disclosure has a significant impact on continuance intention. Meanwhile, personalization, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use do not significantly affect the perceived value of information disclosure using the Gojek application. This research is expected to help Gojek to be able to consider and develop its services.
