The 5G revolution is transforming the technological landscape in Latin America, promising unprecedented connection speeds and new opportunities for innovation. This article examines the current state of 5G communication technology implemented in the region, highlighting the significant advancements in each analyzed country and the digital divide that exists in both urban and rural areas. The research methodology used is based on a mixed analysis approach (qualitative-quantitative), with semi-structured interviews conducted with experts in the field, and the analysis of these interviews was carried out using Atlas.Ti Software. Additionally, data was collected from various primary and secondary sources, including reports from telecommunications operators, studies from international organizations, scientific articles, technical reports, among others. It is concluded that the implementation of 5G in Latin America is progressing at a considerable pace, although with variations between countries caused by the costs of infrastructure change and coverage, especially in rural areas. To harness the potential of 5G, greater collaboration between governments and the private sector is recommended, as well as the implementation of policies that encourage investment and innovation.
