The aim of the present paper was to analyze what are the effects of Task-Based Learning method on the development of oral competence on English learners. The Task-Based Learning method is a teaching language methodology that focuses on tasks competition. Three quasi – experimental studies, whose subject were divided into an experimental and a control group, and five experimental studies, whose subjects were chosen by randomization, were used to deal with this article. These studies followed the quantitative approach and mix method, and as data collection instruments were used the pretest, the post-test, and the interview. To answer the research question of our study we used the results of the eight previous studies; the systematization of the literature review was done by the analysis of means and by the dispersion analysis. The results revealed that the students who were taught by the Task-Based Learning method improve their oral competence. It was concluded that teaching English using the Task-Based Learning method has positive effects on the development of oral competence of English as a Foreign Language learners.
