The growing digitization of all business areas has increased the demand for experts who can design and implement sustainable socio-technical systems and sound knowledge of economic aspects. The widely established field of business information systems engineering provides solutions to these challenges. To this end, business informatics develops methods for matching financial and social requirements with technical systems, drawing on the concepts of IT management and related disciplines. In addition to a solid education in business informatics, computer science and engineering, specialists thus also know management fundamentals.
