Workshop on Epistemics and Decision-Making in AI-Supported Education
摘要
The Epistemics and Decision-Making in AI-Supported Education workshop explores the transformative role of generative AI—particularly large language and multimodal models—in reshaping educational practices. As these technologies evolve, they offer significant opportunities to enhance personalized learning, support higher-order thinking, and improve assessment design and evaluation. This workshop brings together educators, researchers, and AI practitioners to discuss how AI can create adaptive, inclusive learning environments while addressing crucial concerns around explainability, trust, and fairness. Topics include the use of large foundation models for content generation, AI-based personalization, creativity in learning, ethical considerations, and the evolving role of teachers in AI-integrated classrooms. Through keynote talks, peer-reviewed papers, and interactive sessions, participants will share research, explore real-world applications, and collaborate on future solutions. Selected papers will be published in the AIED proceedings. The workshop aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and innovation at the intersection of AI and education.
