A Learner-AI-Parent Collaboration Framework for Home Learning Environment
摘要
This project explores a learner-AI-parent collaboration framework to address challenges in home learning. As education shifts increasingly to the home, parents face growing pressure to support their children academically, often feeling ill-equipped and anxious. While AI technologies offer personalized learning that may alleviate some burdens, they lack social-emotional and contextual awareness and overlook the role of parents. Grounded in social constructivism and scaffolding theory, this project uses a mixed-methods design, employing an exploratory pre-survey and an explanatory quasi-experiment to examine impact of learner-AI-parent collaboration on learner and parent engagement and parental anxiety. By evaluating these dynamics, the project investigates how AI can complement parent support while mitigating stress. It bridges research gaps in home learning AI applications and expands the work of AI-supported collaborative learning.
