Gamified Intelligent Communities of Practice: A Path to Acknowledge and Support Underprivileged Teachers
摘要
This study explores the support of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED) in empowering teachers within Brazil’s educational context. Recognizing the often-neglected importance of teachers in the learning ecosystem, we introduce a Gamified Intelligent Community of Practice (GICoP) tailored to enhance teacher competence and foster collaboration. While AIED research has predominantly emphasized student-centered approaches, our research highlights the importance of addressing teachers’ professional development needs in response to technological advancements. By interlinking the objectives of the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC) with advanced AI tools, our proposed GICoP seeks to create an environment where knowledge dissemination is intuitive and aligned with national standards. Our research also contributes to AIED by offering valuable insights and outlining challenges in formulating public policies that intertwine AI with a teacher-centric focus.
