This project report explores the design, development, and implementation of an innovative cross-platform mobile application, tailored for online teaching, learning, and research within the context of African higher education communities. Building upon the existing Digi-Face platform, which serves as a foundation for online education, this study addresses a technical gap by extending the capabilities to a mobile interface. This project report aims to bridge this gap by developing a cross-platform mobile app, optimizing the Digi-Face experience for mobile devices. The primary objective is to develop a cross-platform Mobile App for online teaching, learning, and research within the African Centers of Excellence in East Africa by providing an intuitive and accessible mobile interface. The study employs a comprehensive methodology, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The development process involves utilizing industry-standard tools and frameworks for cross-platform mobile app development, ensuring compatibility across various devices and operating systems such as Android and IOS. Upon implementation, the results demonstrate a substantial improvement in the accessibility and usability of the Digi-Face platform through the mobile app. The application facilitates streamlined access to educational materials, collaborative features, and research resources. Comparative analysis with existing methodologies reveals a marked enhancement in user engagement, resource utilization, and overall learning experiences.
