The South African construction industry has traditionally been male-dominated, with female professionals facing numerous barriers to career development. This paper provides structured guidelines to support the career advancement of women in the sector. Also identifies key challenges such as gender discrimination, lack of mentorship and wage disparities. The study utilizes qualitative data from industry comments and recommendations to highlight systemic issues and propose actionable solutions. Findings indicate that targeted career development programs, mentorship opportunities and structural policy changes can significantly enhance female participation and leadership in the Construction Industry. The paper concludes by advocating for proactive measures to create an equitable and inclusive working environment for female professionals in construction.
