Building construction being a fundamental human necessity, has not advanced in tandem with the technological progress observed in other economic sectors; hence, robotic utilization presents a pivotal technology for realizing this promise. This study aims to evaluate the application of robots in building project delivery in Lagos State, Nigeria, with the objective of identifying areas of construction where robotics is suitable and the obstacles to robotic technology adoption. This research employed the survey approach by administering structured questions to construction organizations that have utilized robotics for project delivery over the past five years, as determined by a pilot study. The research population consists of Principal partners, project quantity surveyors, architects, project managers, and site engineers, totaling 78 respondents selected by census sampling. Seventy-one of the seventy-eight questionnaire administered were returned, yielding a return rate of 91.02%. The study used Mean Item Score, Standard Deviation, and Kruskal-Wallis as statistical analysis tools. The findings indicate that site preparation, site investigation and demolition, plumbing, and security surveillance are the four major building operations where robotics are predominantly utilized. The most notable challenges include substantial initial costs, ongoing maintenance and repair expenses, insufficient senior management support, and a deficiency in expertise and technical proficiency. The findings indicate that a comprehensive strategy and cooperation for internal endorsement are essential for enhancing the integration of robots in building project delivery, and that construction firms should endeavor to adopt robotic concepts due to their significant advantages.
