Generalized Net Model of Arterial Supply to the Brain in Healthy Individuals
摘要
Precise knowledge of cerebral blood supply is of the exceptional benefit for the proper diagnosis and therapy of cerebrovascular diseases. Understanding the complex arterial system can be facilitated by its schematic presentation. The purpose of this study is to model the process of blood flow in the brain with a view to specifying the appropriate tissues from where it receives supply about cerebral blood flow. The brain blood supply is provided by 2 main arterial pools: carotid vascular pool and vertebrobasilar vascular pool. A detailed tracing of their branches supplying blood to certain locations of the brain is presented. A GN model of normal cerebral blood flow was presented. This model can be used for doppler tracking of each of the insonated regions represented by the individual positions.
