The primary objective of positioning and sensing technologies (PSTs) is to achieve high levels of positioning accuracy (PA) so as to achieve accurate sensing. There are, however, certain applications that require additional metrics due to their specific features, necessitating the use of more comprehensive key performance indicators (KPIs). An overview of KPIs (accuracy, energy efficiency, availability, cost, latency, scalability, robustness, and security) for PSTs is thus provided in this chapter. Moreover, the key measurements and enabling techniques are also introduced.
