Methods of Optimizing the Supply of Military Equipment Based on the Military Transport Network
摘要
In The Polish Military Forces the subsystem of movement and transportation is a part of the Military Logistic System. s to provide supplies and ensure the movement of troops not only in times of peace but also in times of crisis and war. In peacetime, the process of planning and monitoring supplies is relatively predictable because tasks are usually included in supply plans. The situation is different during a crisis or war, when a significant part of the tasks are random. The aim of the article was to present a transport problem addressed to the military network, which is not a typical research case, because it covers military sources of supplies and supplies located on the territory of the Republic of Poland. Authors solved the transportation problem using the three classical methods: North-West Corner, Least Cost in the Matrix and Vogel’s Approximation Method (VAM). The transport was carried out with Iveco Eurocargo truck. The analysis made it possible to determine the best (but not optimal) route for delivery looking from the costs perspective.
