This chapter analyses the use of lethal force by law enforcement agents in Chile, comparing its use when they are on duty and off duty. Initially, the set of norms that regulate the use of force is presented and subsequently the lethal impact of the actions of public security agents is analysed. Finally, questions are raised about the normative ambiguity that regulates its use outside of service and the lack of effective control.
