In this chapter, we center a contemporary challenge for educational researchers: the Anthropocene. Facing this challenge and moving towards a post-anthropocentric world requires creative alternatives to the current neoliberal mode of knowledge production. We propose arts-based research as one possible alternative. While this approach is not the panacea, it provides educational researchers with a means to reassess their ontological, epistemological, ethical, and political compasses. Our key message is that aligning arts-based research with a post-anthropocentric agenda can help educational researchers imagine and construct more-than-human futures that are more just, sustainable, and compassionate.

摘要
