Research on mathematical curiosity remains significantly overlooked in mathematics education. This chapter introduces a roadmap connecting academic research on curiosity as a psychological construct with mathematical processing, learning, and instructional practices. By linking these elements, we offer a framework for analyzing empirical research on mathematical curiosity, planning new studies on its role in developing mathematical thinking, and implementing curiosity-rich mathematical instruction.
