The research aims to analyze the export and import of transportation services in the Republic of Uzbekistan, identify their relationship with the foreign economic balance, and develop a science-based methodology for forecasting the import and export of transportation services. Using comparative analysis and regression methods, the authors assessed the level of competitiveness of transport services. During the research, the authors studied transportation services of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2018–2022. The detailed analysis has shown that improving the quality of transportation services has a noticeable impact on the country’s foreign trade performance. The negative outcome of foreign trade in goods and services is compensated by the development of transportation services. This research has established the direct impact of transportation services as a whole and in the context of individual types of transportation services of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the overall results of the external balance of payments of the country.
