Continuous monitoring of road conditions is one of the important issues in the effective management of road assets. The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) is a rating system used to assess road pavement conditions. It helps prioritize and plan maintenance activities for safe and efficient road networks. Several factors influence the PCI, including the age and design of the pavement, traffic load, climate conditions, maintenance history, construction quality, and environmental factors. In this research, the authors analyzed the influence of trucks in traffic flow on PCI in Uzbekistan. Traffic flow intensity data was collected to determine highway characteristics, compatibility with traffic speeds, load determination, and maintenance control. These indicators are crucial for maintenance and repair planning, road construction projects, and traffic safety measures. In this research, the authors determined the current state of the PCI index in selected research objects. The impact of trucks on road conditions was evaluated using traffic flow speed data at the research objects. Moreover, the authors provide recommendations for assessing the condition of highways in Uzbekistan.
