Acoustic Noise Reduction in Housing Projects
摘要
This research paper investigates the acoustic quality of housing projects in Bahrain. Different unit types within an existing housing project are employed as case studies. Acoustic quality and noise reduction are analyzed using BIM models of the case studies. The paper aims to evaluate and improve the acoustic environment of the case-study units. Exploring the acoustic performances of different material settings reveals the benefits of conducting acoustic calculations and analyses in the initial phases of the design process. The research paper then proceeds to optimize acoustic environment quality and noise reduction, and subsequently concludes with major recommendations for acoustic improvement of the residential units.
