This chapter examines the influential factors that contributed to the success of various ethnic fashion industries in Sri Lanka and the prospects for their further development. Sri Lanka has a unique traditional fashion wear market catering to local and international customers. This review sheds light on the research findings related to the textile industry, where the products are made based on different ethnic cultures in Sri Lanka. The results show that when producing ethnic wear, consumer preferences, affordability, quality, adherence to industry standards in the manufacturing process, and comfort were among the critical factors that impact the sustainability of the ethnic fashion clothing industry. Promoting ethnic fashion markets can be effectively achieved through social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, to reach the most significant number of potential customers.
