This chapter seeks to conduct a legal analysis concerning the application of the European Union regulatory framework pertaining to cybersecurity matters. The analysis is undertaken from an evaluative perspective, scrutinising the extent of coverage of this topic within EU legislation and identifying the responsible parties. The issue of cybersecurity holds significant relevance, particularly in the context of how digital mobility services are rendered, especially through the use of electronic means of communication. Moreover, this significance is amplified by the emergence of autonomous vehicles associated with the provision of digital mobility services. The legal framework governing cybersecurity establishes a basis for the implementation of legal instruments aimed at mitigating online security risks. Conversely, it imposes obligations upon the entities operating within the ecosystem that facilitates digital mobility services. Furthermore, this legal framework encompasses an EU product liability regime. Given that digital mobility services are dispensed via the internet and through an internet access service, in conjunction with the description of these services outlined in Chap.  4 , the analysis concentrates on the legal classification of software in accordance with the pertinent legal framework.
