Monitoring System for Consumption, Control and Water Quality of In-Home Cisterns
摘要
This paper presents the development and evaluation of a prototype for monitoring water consumption, quality, and control in urban cisterns, using accessible technologies such as the Arduino platform. The system aims to monitor critical water parameters continuously and in real time to optimize water management and ensure the quality of water for human consumption. The prototype was tested in a real environment in Portoviejo, Ecuador, where it proved to be effective in monitoring water quality and automatically controlling water flow based on sensor readings. The results highlight the system’s potential to improve water management and public health in urban environments. The study also compares the results with previous water monitoring systems and identifies areas for future re-search and development.
