This chapter outlines the various tests available to the onco-neuro-gastroenterologist to evaluate the colon. Sensory-motor gastrointestinal disorders can present with abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation. Some of these tests are not yet ubiquitous in the community setting and may necessitate referral to tertiary-care centers. Others are emerging modalities at various stages of development and clinical implementation and with inadequate validation in cancer patients.
