Symptom Etiology
摘要
This chapter elaborates on the potential neurogastrointestinal symptoms in oncology. Symptoms (if any) may be functional, structural, or both, may be uni- or multifocal in location, and may not only be solely gastrointestinal in origin. Yet, they need to be solicited, quantified by frequency and severity, and prioritized, based on their overall clinical impact. The various gastrointestinal sensory-motor abnormalities that may be encountered are tabulated and they are expanded in subsequent chapters in this book.
