This chapter discusses the various entities involving the esophagus and confronting the onco-neuro-gastroenterologist who is called upon to evaluate symptoms suggestive of sensory-motor gastrointestinal disorder, such as chest pain, dysphagia, heartburn, and regurgitation. Understanding and managing these conditions requires continuous exchange with oncology, thoracic and foregut surgery, and radiation oncology.
