Chapter 10 considers alternatives to the BEV. Social changes such as changes in driver demands/needs/behaviour, alternative fuels and alternative charging technology. The chapter considers rethinking the Hybrid and PHEV, addressing the on-street parking problem and makes a plea to stop viewing in black and white and imposing a one-size-fits-all solution.
