HIIT: Considered as Various Fluctuations for Adaptive Processes in the Metabolism

The forthcoming chapter explores high-intensity interval training (HIIT), examining its types, variations, and application through the lens of differential learning (DL). While HIIT is widely recognized for enhancing physical fitness and assessing exertion responses, its role in physiotherapy is increasingly acknowledged. Patients recovering from prolonged bed rest often experience conditions such as edema, where venous pump exercises structured with HIIT principles can aid in reducing swelling while improving muscle coordination and metabolic flexibility. For instance, a postpartum woman recovering from a C-section may struggle with basic movements like rolling in bed. In such cases, integrating HIIT with DL or system dynamics (SD) theory can enhance recovery by optimizing muscle coordination and metabolic function.
