This article presents an in-depth study of accessible tourism experiences shared on social media, utilizing advanced sentiment analysis techniques to gain insights into user perceptions. The primary objective is to evaluate the opinions of users with disabilities regarding inclusive tourism services and identify specific areas that require improvement. To accomplish this, a comprehensive dataset of tweets in Spanish was collected, focusing on keywords related to tourism and disability. The sentiment analysis revealed significant findings: 63% of the opinions were positive, 14% negative, and 23% neutral. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of sentiment analysis in capturing nuanced user experiences and highlight the critical aspects of service quality in the tourism sector. The diverse opinions collected provide a detailed understanding of the main challenges and barriers faced by people with disabilities in Colombia’s tourism industry, including physical, economic, communication, and attitudinal obstacles. The study’s findings underscore the importance of enhancing accessible tourism services and suggest actionable recommendations for industry stakeholders to foster a more inclusive environment for all travelers.
