The objective of this research was to develop and train a medical chatbot for disease diagnosis in patients within the fields of gynecology, obstetrics, and family planning at the GESTAFEM clinic located in Atuntaquí, Ecuador. The Dialog-flow tool was used for the development of the chatbot and the guided question and answer style was established. The type of conversation was considered inter-personal and informative, using text format only. The development of the chat was carried out in three phases: data collection, construction of the conversational agent and integration with external services. Five intents were established: welcome, gynecology consultation, prevention gynecology, obstetrics consultation and family planning consultation. The set of training phrases was defined, which were the possible answers that users could give to the chat questions. These phrases were used to train the Dialoflow language model so that it could recognize the correct answers. As a fundamental point, a series of tests were carried out to evaluate how the chatbot responded. For this, consultations were carried out in the areas of gynecology and obstetrics, with different symptoms associated with different diseases to validate if the answers provided were correct; Likewise, work was done in the family planning section. Successful results were obtained in all tests. Finally, the developed chatbot was integrated into the Web application for patient management of the GESTAFEM clinic, where the user can be redirected from the chatbot to scheduling appointments within the web application.
