NatureTex—The (R)Evolution of Egypt’s Textile Industry
摘要
NatureTex, a SEKEM subsidiary in Egypt, combines biodynamic agriculture with the four dimensions of sustainability: ecology, economy, social life, and culture. Guided by anthroposophical principles of human consciousness development. Founded in response to a pesticide crisis in textile production, it has proven over 30 years that high-quality cotton can be produced without chemicals while fostering social justice, cultural vitality, and economic fairness. This model shows how philosophy and practice can merge to achieve lasting sustainability in the textile industry.
