摘要

The world faces a profound socio-ecological crisis rooted in fragmentation: disconnection from self, others, and nature. A reductionist worldview prioritizing economic growth over well-being has caused burnout, isolation, and environmental exploitation. Transforming this requires a shift toward interconnectedness and holistic values like compassion and sustainability. Drawing on personal experiences, the author explores frameworks like Anthroposophy and Gross National Happiness (GNH). GNH prioritises well-being, equity, and ecological harmony, challenging GDP’s limits. Its nine domains—psychological well-being, health, education, and more—model balanced development. Initiatives like Vietnam’s Peaceful Bamboo Family and Happy Schools adapt holistic principles to diverse contexts, while GNH in business redefines success through sustainability and happiness, exemplified by Bitis’ transformation. This vision integrates spiritual, cultural, and ecological dimensions, calling for systemic change to build a resilient, inclusive, and harmonious future.
