Psychosocial Problems: The Spectrum Model
摘要
The identification of a mental disorder is a necessary component of the legitimisation of coercion in psychiatry. As the current state of research does not allow for such proof, this chapter develops an alternative model that includes various biological, psychological and social spectra. The aspects of coercion and human rights are relevant in that they also include an assessment spectrum that assumes that only the person concerned can decide for themselves whether they experience themselves as mentally ill or not.
