Evaluating verbal intelligence is a crucial task. By analysis of electroencephalograms, it is possible to obtain quantitative measurements of verbal intelligence. The issue of the mechanisms of formation of neuropsychiatric disorders in combatants is one of the most pressing problems in modern clinical medicine. This is determined by the large number of cranial - brain injuries of varying severity, including repeated ones, against the backdrop of constant psycho-emotional stress in this category of patients, and the changed nature of combat injuries due to the use of new, more powerful damaging weapons. The aim of the study is to search for prognostic EEG criteria for the progress of the recovery process in military personnel after mine-blast closed head injuries. Eighteen military personnel, all men (average age 34.6 ± 2.2 years), were involved in the study. The control group included 11 practically healthy men (average age 31.8 ± 2.3 years). It was found that after a mild mine-blast closed head injury, there is a significant weakening of interhemispheric interactions in neural networks, mainly in the frontal, central, and temporal regions of the brain, indicating the tension in the functioning of the brain's nonspecific regulatory systems, which determine the adaptive-compensatory potential of a person. The analysis of the dynamics of the coherence interactions of brain biopotentials can serve as a neurophysiological criterion for predicting the progress of post-traumatic recovery in military personnel. It has been shown that the detection of verbal and cognitive dysfunctions can be achieved through the assessment of interhemispheric coherence.
