In this chapter we shall study the two groups diffusion modelTwo groups diffusion model that is more elaborate, while remaining relatively simple. In such a model the first group is for fast neutrons and the second one for thermal neutrons. It is useful insofar as neutron cross sections are much larger for thermal neutrons than for fast neutrons. We shall introduce migration areasMigration area for each group. They have not the same order of magnitude. This new model is useful to take into account fast fissions in group 1 and poisoning in group 2.
