An Inclusive Model for AI Skills Acquisition by Future Engineers in the Context of Industry 5.0
摘要
The training of Moroccan engineers constitutes a cornerstone of the nation’s development strategy, particularly considering accelerating technological advancements. Engineers are increasingly expected to assume critical roles in research, production, and governance, thus requiring educational frameworks that are responsive to the complexity and dynamism of contemporary challenges. This study investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital skills into engineering education through an inclusive model. It seeks to assess the impact of this integration on the preparedness of engineers for the demands of Industry 5.0, identifying both the benefits and the inherent challenges. Adopting a mixed-methods approach, the research combines a qualitative analysis of the role of AI in shaping engineering education with a quantitative survey administered to 147 students at the National School of Arts and Crafts (ENSAM) of Hassan II University in Casablanca. The findings offer critical insights into how inclusive AI integration can enhance the quality, relevance, and inclusivity of engineering education, thereby contributing to the competitiveness and adaptability of Moroccan engineers in a globalized labor market.
