The rapid advancement of Generative AI is revolutionizing education with better-informed educational technologies (EdTech). The current study explores the integration of Generative AI platforms, such as ChatGPT, to develop a blended EdTech intervention for fostering wisdom intervention for school students in India. The intervention comprises offline and online approaches, with classroom sessions and using a workbook and a mobile application, both created using ChatGPT. Using a single-group pretest-posttest experimental design with 8th-grade students (n = 87), the study examines the intervention's effectiveness and potential to influence students’ wisdom. Furthermore, the aim is to explore the pitfalls and opportunities provided by Generative AI in creating educational content for wisdom development. The results show a significant change in the participant’s wisdom with moderate to low effect size. However, the content generation process was challenging. Researcher supervision is recommended in utilizing Gen AI for educational purposes, especially for building psychological resources. The current study underscores the importance of striking a balance between online AI tools and traditional pedagogical practices.
