This chapter recapitulates and makes some concluding remarks on the main thesis of the book, that philosophy can be useful again only if it is acquisition of knowledge, that is, an inquiry aimed at acquiring knowledge of the world. Abandoning the view that philosophy is acquisition of knowledge has led to the present irrelevance of philosophy.
