There are several reasons why a machining tool does not help make a complex part; some of the reasons are as follows: (1) the tool cannot be made thin enough to make thin features. In extreme cases, if it is made, it can break while making the feature; or if it is not made thin, it may break the feature, (2) a sharp corner depends upon the sharpness of a tool. If a sharp tool cannot be made and operated, there is no tool available to make the sharp corner, (3) making a complex part requires a number of tools that need to be arranged in a sequence of operations, i.e., a decision needs to be made about which tool will come after the use of which tool. This does not allow making all types of parts, etc.
