Since deposition can happen when the deposition of only a material happens, “deposition” in “directed energy deposition” is sufficient to connote the material deposition. Therefore, “directed energy deposition” has “material” hidden between “energy” and “deposition.” Laser powder bed fusion can come under directed energy deposition.
