AM does not come with such material blocks and their properties. It comes with feedstock, experimental parameters, and noise—these all have influences on properties. Machining can be interesting because material properties will not deteriorate due to the lack of skill in the machining operation, or it cannot be interesting because material properties will not improve even by adopting the best practice.
