AM and CM: Comparison
摘要
In machining, the number of tools will increase if the tools that make both spheres are not sufficient to make gaps between the two spheres. When two spheres meet, there remain gaps between them because their peripheries do not coincide. To make a fine gap, a fine tool is required. In powder bed fusion (PBF), the beam makes the gap. Whether the beam can accurately make the gap depends upon the requirement. If the requirement is high, the beam will not provide accuracy. Thus, two cases can happen—PBF will make it, or PBF will not make it. When PBF makes it, it happens by the same beam that makes every section of the geometry. When PBF does not make it, the requirement should be made lower so PBF can make it, which will allow the comparison to take place.
