First, the ceramic shell is made stronger; second, the pattern is made weaker. The shell is made stronger by using stronger material. Thus, a shell made stronger by replacing ceramic with ceramic plus fiber has less probability to break. But if it loses its thermal conductivity after the improvement, it is not good for its next use. It causes the metal cast inside it to crack. Therefore, making a shell stronger will help its own fabrication but may not serve the purpose.
